Membership

Please note that Subscriptions are administered through the Club Office, not the Pro Shop. Please plan ahead if you wish to join the club. 

Outside of summer holidays the admin office is open 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and closed Public Holidays. Over the Christmas/New Year/January period you can join on business days between 9am – 3.30pm.

It takes about 15 minutes to join the club. Please do not expect to be able to join up in the 5 minutes before you tee off.  Please bring your photo ID.  Note credit card payments incur a 1.5% surcharge.  For enquiries, please phone 03 443 7888 ext 2 or email admin@wanakagolf.co.nz

Subscription rates are the same for Men and Women.

Note: new member subscription rates below run from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027 and are GST Inclusive. A $400 joining fee applies to new and rejoining members over the age of 18 years. For new members joining after October subs are Pro-Rata, excluding junior subs.

• Full Membership: $1,075 All rights and privileges.
• Country Membership: $660 Must continue to be a Full Member of another NZ club for the year and reside further than 40km away for 9 months annually. All privileges except Club Champs/Special Trophies. Cannot bring visitors on a Guest Rate.
• Under 30-year-old Membership: $560 All rights and privileges. Need to show ID. Permanent NZ Residents Only. DOB between 1/9/1996 and 31/8/2003.
• Under 23-year-old Membership: $395 All rights and privileges. Need to show ID. Permanent NZ Residents Only. DOB between 1/9/2003 and 31/8/2007.
• Honorary Non-Playing Member: $90 Use of clubhouse / or on hold while away (minimum 6 months stand down). Only for current members who are overseas long term or injured for an extended period. Entry to this category is on a case-by-case basis. It is not appropriate to use this category to obtain a seasonal membership.
• Junior Local Membership: $130 Aged up to and including 18 years (school age only). DOB after 01/01/2009.
  Permanent local Upper Clutha/Makarora residents only. Competitions and privileges at the discretion of the Committee.
• Junior Membership (Non-Local) NZ Residents only: $360 Aged up to 18 years (school age only). DOB after 01/01/2009.
  Comp play as above for Local Junior members.
• International Juniors: $590 no pro rata, Aged up to 18 years (school age only). For Winter Junior Visitors please look at the Snow Pass options below:
• Snow Pass Green Fee ticket is available for Visitors during Winter (May-Oct annually) – Note the Pass is not unlimited play, max 3 rounds per week. Contact the Pro Shop for details.
